I know im supposed to write daily

Life doesnt seem to be allowing that cloth diaperimg is going really well is it messy to clean yes but the dirty part takes less than an hour a couple times a week. Im currently considering cloth wipes since picking the dirty wiped outta the diapers is one of my least favorite parts cloth wipes could be washed with the diapers....

I have become a fan of wool in every way wool sweaters from thrift stores are my hidden joy.

I have been sewing patrick is now the prowd owner of poker pajama pants and a pair with dinosaurs that I bought the fabric for like 3 years ago.....

Ive made some wool pants for the baby to go over his diapers and he looks so cute in them.

I also have found a love for a product from Cj's sewing room its a butter and it melts into diaper rashes and eczema and heals them amazingly.. love them

thats it for now ill try harder to be more diligent but the kids have rsv and the baby was in the hospital last week.

Getting Started

My oldest child is 4 over the years he has had terrible skin rashes due to allergic reactions to everything.... At times when they where at their worst I would cloth diaper him... I would scour craigslist find some Crunchy mom who was selling her stash and make due till the rash healed. We would then find ourself back in disposables until the next bad rash.

Now with the recent birth of our new son I stockpiled tons of disposable diapers and prayed. This baby has not nearly the issues my first son did but I can already see problems he is having and I am gunna make the switch.

So I'm sure when you think cloth diapers you think white cotton and pins, you probably think of the inevitable leaks. When I told my grandmother she was sure I could just cut up some old flannel blankets like they did in her day. (Note To Readers) I love my grandmother but she is crazy why would I do that when I can spend a small fortune on cute wonderful diapers my child is going to poop all over.

So I joined a Diaper site that allows mothers to talk trade and basically all thing cloth diaper and did some research. I then hit e-bay, etsy, hyena cart, the trade forums and spent a small fortune that I cant describe in detail but lets just say 4 days into shopping i'm probably coming close to $1000.

Im sure cloth diapering is a lovely way to save money if your not a compulsive shopper.

So over the next couple days I am going to journal what arrives and as soon as I have a nice "Stash" we will make the switch completely stay tuned....

Oh and just a note when I say completly this is void in regards to daycare they will get sposies <-- Disposable Diapers I don't expect this of them.
